Glenn Weathers, Ph.D


Dr. Glenn Weathers serves as Vice President and Chief Technical Officer of Applied Data Trends, Inc (ADT). In his current role he is responsible for leading the development and advancement of Tactical Office® core technology.

Dr. Weathers attended Auburn University, receiving his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Electrical Engineering. He was awarded a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering specializing in Communications Theory in 1972.

Dr. Weathers has managed the development of command, control, and mission planning software for the PATRIOT Tactical Command System - the first US Army type classified and material released tactical operations center for high and medium altitude air missile defense. He has contributed to the technical algorithms used in the air defense mission planning process and the development of the U.S. Army Future Combat System's Communications Network Planner.

Dr. Weathers has over forty years of experience working in the Aerospace and Defense industries. He has developed advanced technology for both communications and radar, holding several patents and authoring a number of technical journal papers. He has also served as Chairman of the Huntsville Section of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, and currently serves on the Industrial Advisory Board to the University of Alabama in Huntsville Electrical and Computer Engineering Department. Dr. Weathers also serves as an elected representative on the Madison County Republican Executive Committee.
